WHISPERING LOVE

WHISPERING LOVE

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

a love shown other ways instood of by voice!

"

He doesn't say he loves me with words.

It's the little things he does,

like when he smiles at me,

his dimples shine so bright.

Whispering love is what I feel!

He doesn't say he loves me with words.

But when he touches me so gentle,

and holds me so tight,

Whispering love is what I feel!

He doesn't say he loves me with words.

Until that day he bent down on one knee.

The ring sparkled so bright in the sunlight.

He whispered marry me.

And whispering love was what I felt!

'WHISPERING LOVE'
Kathy Sue Seals,
A gentle love reality but strongly known.
We say so much with our gestures and actions
and expressions. Your poem was just so cute.
Adorable image: "the loved ones dimples', gentle touch,
and of course:
"untill that day he bent down on one knee.
The ring sparkled so bright in the sunlight.
He whispered marry me.
And whispering love was what I felt!"
Beautiful write and the inspiration goes a long way with me
Bless you.
Kathy

Thank you!
Would that all women understood that actions speak louder than words can.

Wow! An inadvertent haiku! Phone automatically drops to the next line after a quota is reached on characters. Anywho! I'm not big on verbal reassurances. Too often words have no substance behind them. A lesson you illustrated in a poem from your highschool days. Unfortunately, I've met many who seem to need to hear it spoken constantly. Course, I am a middle aged curmudgeon! 😉

I hope the love you found that inspired this poem has endured. This was 11 years ago. Maybe older? As I read your poetry it will be interesting to identify this same whispering love in your following poems.

I do need to mention the word gentile. That describes someone who is not Jewish. Perhaps that was wordplay on your part?

Thank you for the review! Gentile was supposed to be gentle!
It's a perfect piece of poetry, and thats what love should be.

I am a big believer in words and actions - that being said, this was very breathy and sweet, dear!
