Seven days Of Romance

Seven days Of Romance

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

A wife feels unloved, her husband helps them find romance once again!

"

Love, kisses, candy, flowers he once gave her,

but now there far and between.

She feels so unloved, forgotten.

Where did the romance go?

She still needs it in her life.

Monday....

Classical music played softly.

Fire crackled in the fireplace.

Champagne glasses clinged together.

Vows were retold to one another.

Her heart beat accelerated.

Tuesday....

He escorted her to dinner and a movie.

In the darken theater they made out like high

school sweet hearts.

She felt timid.

Wednesday....

Flowers and a card were bought.

She smiled.

The card played You Are So Beautiful to Me,

he sung along.

She cried.

Thursday....

Breakfast was given to her in bed.

The toast was burnt.

Eggs were scorched.

She ate every bite.

She was so in love with him.

Friday....

He slipped a diamond bracelet on her arm.

Her eyes twinkle as bright as the diamonds.

She was ecstatic.

Saturday....

The day was spent talking, reminiscing about old times.

Passionate love was made that night.

She was enchanted.

Sunday....

He spoke the words that she long to hear,

"I love you."

She looked him in the eyes,

and whispered, "I love you too."

Her heart had been jumped started, replenished.

She felt full, loved, and happy.

The seven days  of romance she would cherish

forever and always.

Everyone needs to be reminded from time to time that they are still special and still loved. Weather it be seven days like in this poem or just a card with a note written it, it can recapture the heart. The flow of this poem is easy to follow and this is a topic that almost every woman can relate to and most me can as well but me want different things. lol Great write that reminds us to let people in our lives know just how much we love them and need them in our lives.

this is sweet!!! I like it!! haha "optimism parade" it's true you have a light hearted approach to things which is very endearing to read on here after so much of the dark stuff I've read recently!! you always write well and keep us attentive! good poem!!

An enchanting love story. I like the shape of the poem too.

Thank god you are a part of the optisim parade, and that's why I make my dailt stops here. Irionically I have the male point of view in the is prose form called the one week love.
Men are swine and terrible liars, for the most part. I would have added day 8 in which we are caught in sexting with 3 others who we also got gifts for.

Like I've said in som epiece of drivel I've written.
When women love they do so with their hearts, when men do, Its with their dicks.

I love this piece for everything emotion could be if not ruined by cross eyes and bad lies.

A sweet, romantic piece, clever using the days to spell out the romance..
Well done!
