Dancing Solo

Learn, rehearse, relay to the waiting crowd

Position your arms in his, just so

Place your feet, glide on a gleaming polished floor

Hold your head high, they musn't detect a lie

The music prances out, finally your hard practiced is displayed

Together you are perfect, though 

'Together' only lasts until the music stops

And your clasped hands fall from each others 

The exilaration of the applauding ends, sudden silence falls

Back to the world where music is just a plead for a clown faced ambition

Life is the deleted scenes of fairy tales

The imperfect moments of happily never after

Once your embrace is dispelled from rhythm

It is you and only you, dancing solo

Dancing to the fall of gradually fading footsteps 

Alone and waiting the chance to dance again

Till the day never ever steals your last breath
