Don't Judge Another's Anger

Don't Judge Another's Anger

A Poem by marilyn 1225
"

it is too easy to dismiss a person who is not smiling , grinning, or being '' sunny'' one has to experience first hand another's troubles to understand his current mood

"
what makes an old person bitter
what makes a young man angry
what makes a parent scream, yell and complain
what makes  a waif walk the streets cursing it all?

the anger builds  , we were not born with it
it arrives somewhere after  not getting one's bottle
to the hand of a parent
to the coveted prize
in youth
to the blocked lover
the frustration  of a failed artist
musician
scientist
or anyone who can not achieve
or Be..
what they know they are

or have to give or share

the anger builds from lack of money
or being shunned or used  by a 'phoney baloney..'.

then dumpped

to being isolated
not included
not even a hello  at a gathering   from the ''cheerleader of the day''
anger  comes from learning that the love of your life is now with
the younger newer version

a forlorn anger of the sick  in a hospital, enduring
the pain after the operation
the medication
the cold room there
the emptiness of the hospital hallways at night silent, filled with surrounding death

no visitors ever  and more  horrors to come,,,,

and the list continues

as the anger grows warmer. then scorching...
perhaps   or maybe.....
 writing one  poem  --unafraid...
could take it momentarily  away and transfer
the sad frustrations of life
to  a  white page
with black typed
Words,,,,,

This is too amazing . . . I can't find words. I've often tried to say this, but here you've gone & said it better than the best ten writers! The main meaning is something I really care about, so it literally thrills me to see you flesh it out the way you have. The details you use, it's like you put the reader into thirty different pair of shoes with such a sense of really "getting it" as you try on all the frustrations that knock us down. Thank you for your understanding of the downtrodden (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

YES ANGER COMES IN DIFFERENT FORMS, IT IS ONE OF THE GENERAL EMOTIONS EXPERIENCED BY EVERY PERSON. I LIKE THE WAY YOU USE YOUR WORDS TO EXPRESS SOMETHING. I ALSO LIKE THE LAST TWO LINES OF THE POEM.

You've taken an old saying " walking in other people's shoes" and created your wonderful point of view on the subject. You always choose the right words to form a beautiful portrait to your stories

So much truth in your words, Marilyn. We often look at a face and draw so many conclusions, unfairly, and usually inaccurately. You've captured that so well here, and the depth of the pain, anger, and often despair. Thanks for sharing this important message in artful words.

So sad, so wise, so academic your post.. and i congratulate you on each thought.. tis empathic time and time again.. then set as an offering for readers to reflect upon. And i have..

Anger and ill-health can frequently draw veils across people's true temperaments. Tis difficult to remain calm when either or both mind and body are in turmoil. An ugly facade flashes up as armour perhaps or without any helpful reason other than instinctive screams of LEAVE ME ALONE. An' that at a time when a touch or whisper is most needed. Humans are strange creatures.. but sad strange creatures when they recoil from normality ... perhaps.

I think you make so many great points here. When we see somebody angry we don't think too much about his or her reasons. Your poem make clear what can be behind emotional storm. Life always bring some heavy weights. Sometimes is hard to stay calm. Also is important say what is wrong. Anger is important part of our emotions but we should use wisely. Thanks for great poem about it.
