Brevity of Life

Life constantly moves forward with great speed
Rushing off to complete yet another deed
Time rapidly moving towards and end
Death starts at birth, with this we must contend

Precious is each single day we live
So take a moment to "just breath" and give
Appreciate the trivial moments that transpire
Learn to love with wholeness, and fueling desire

Enjoy a minute of basking in the sun
Run around, play tag, laugh, have childish fun
For in the blink of an eye it could disappear
Leaving aching regret when the end is near

So speak your thoughts with abandon and desire
Feel life's flowing energy, blaze like fire
Feeding contentment with minuscule seconds
Before Death's call, sounds, and soulfully beckons

Carpe Diem!

There are poignant moments in life that wrap eternity up into a marble shot.

Tell those you love that you do more often and do not stay angry. Regret is a contagious disease that is carried by anger and it lurks like a slithering venomous serpent. It is a neurotoxic poison that attacks the brain.

What a great poem Kristina! I love the third stanza the most when you say things could change in the blink of an eye. You just never know what tomorrow could bring either.
