Blind Irony

Blind Irony

A Poem by Emily Dickinson Jr.
"

A poem about a small girl experienceing blindness and how it effects her outlook. Its about taking things for granted, loss, and appreciation. its a good read so try it out! :-)

"

Little one
In meadow green
Hides her eyes
Of amazing sheen
Soon they fade
And turn blank white
So now her world
Is only night
Feather blindfold
Flutters down

While she crawls
Upon the ground
She gazes sun-ward
Like a dream
From Pearly eyes
Comes a quiet
Crystal stream

I enjoyed this, I was just looking for a little more confusion, pain, scared feeling, or something of the likes. Don't get me wrong beautiful, I just know if I lost my vision there would be some freaking out involved. Thanks

you write quite well my friend. I likes the way you talks. We do take far too many things for granted. I know I certainly do. Less so since I got sick but I probably still take things for granted without realizing it. But you write quite beautifully though I always thought people named Hannah probably would.

:) no problem
This shows such a rough transition from color to dark, from neon to pastel, from alive to death, and to sight to blindness in such a smooth manner. Great job, it was quite enjoyable Hannah. :)
