Shaken

Shaken

A Poem by sansrity sinha

Another day passed by,
Another night to mourn..
Harsh times and bitter quarrels
Test all lives, spare none..

For each breath now counts,
Each soul now prays,
I only wish its over..

I remember that golden past,
When life was full of duties,
Now each moment brings only pity..

I pray daily during dawn and dusk,
Spare us, why so ruthless?
Why so tough?

In His name,
What have they done?
Life is cheap and so is death

Someday Our payers will be heard,
Someday they shall get answered!
Till then, I wait, for the time to pass..

Hello sansrity sinha,

I really like the first verse:

Another day passed by,
Another night to mourn..
Harsh times and bitter quarrels
Test all lives, spare none..

Overall, it is an intense poem. It is sad and very reminiscent of many of the struggles which are going on in our world today. There was one line where the wording was a bit awkward. The line: "I only wish its over.." Consider changing "its" to "it is over." It would give it a better flow. Other than that, it is a wonderful poem.

Thank you for sharing!

Kind regards,

Schatzi

Prayers make us strong, we pray to gather that courage to fight against the odds... Nice one anyway....

"Someday Our payers will be heard,

We generally wait for the answers, but hen we ask ourselves 'what after that?'...... Loved the way you've portrayed that in the last stanza! And also to mention an amazing opening stanza!

keep writing :D
