Muse For Rent

play it again Sam..

Yesterday  Sam posted a poem called Where Did My Muse Go? in which he was putting lost and found flyers out.  I was inspired to write this poem placing my own flyer and add..... 

Memories keep me awake

   Uncontrolled voices silently loud

      Sounding in the night , words

         Exiled more than once

            Forbidden secrets

               Obstinate thoughts

                  Resounding measures of time not left

                     Resting in the frontal cortex

                        Estranged from reality

                          Nocturnal nightingales

                              Testing my sanity nightly

Hi Rose. A good write about the fickle muse. A skillfully crafted Acrostic. Good presentation. Good imagery, flow and tone. Good depth of feeling. I like the power of the piece. I like this line:
"uncontrolled voices silently loud" - vivid. Good word choice. Well penned and a good read. Write on!

smart acrostic poem .. i so relate to the brain that whispers just before sleep ..we simply can not keep hidden rooms ..no matter how hard we try ..it will present itself to our mind's eye relentlessly until faced squarely ...so glad i found this one and read ..so glad you shared it shallimar ..

This is great and creative. So often we see the Muse as a beautiful Grecian nymph frolicking in the field with her sister Muses, and coming upon a passerby in happenstance and gracing him with inspiration (or at least that's how I see it). This "ad" seems more realistic, and more human! Excellent writing!
