A Cynic's view!

A Cynic's view!

A Poem by Simple_mee

He can make you stumble on a smooth road,

He can make you grumble at a beautiful quote,

He can make the world vanish all of a sudden,

He can make you feel yourself a burden!

He dreads every moment of his trivial life,

He doesnt laugh because he is afraid to cry,

Seeing flowers he would search for a coffin,

He is all but always guffing!

Everytime for a solution, he can find a new enigma,

No matter the bright light, he can find the gloom,

He can start a war out of mere words,

He hides from the truth as in a nest does a bird!

Dont let such a person's views affect your opinion,

Dont let them run your governance,

Because he is just a petty Cynic,

For anything may happen but a cynic remains a cynic!

But the good news is: We learn from cynics. :D

I found it amusing that I know a cynic and coincidentally a guy at that. True enough, those words above are evident. I've found out though that there is more on the surface. :)) Your words are clever and straight to the point. For tecnicals, it's definitely a freeverse so I won't point out rhyme and that sort. All I can say is your flow is good.

Great job!

I agree.. I've had so many people say so many things to me / about me that are best left unheard.. There will always be people who'll offer advice not from the goodness of their heart but from the malice that grips it .. So we should be sound enough to know when to listen and when to laugh it off and walk away

Your poem is true. Can't change a cynic. People lost in hate and disappointment can't see the good in front of their eyes. A outstanding poem. To the point and direct.

Not your best. And too, what I am noticing, you always end the last line in your stanzas with exclamation marks, I don't think that is showing your true voice behind it. I have a hard time thinking that you scream every last line. But overall it was pretty good.

I like this alot, there is one typo however "He can start a war out of mere wrods" I think you meant to write words.

A gripping write, with a brilliant close.
I liked the repetition with 'he' at the beginning, and i'm glad you eased away from it so smoothly.
Great write!
