Shadow

No place to hide
No matter where I go
My shadow is right behind
I thought if run
I be one step ahead
But darkness bring light
That makes my future dim
Because even when it shine
I'm blind to see
What I have inside.

Reminds me of depression and/or extreme stress. It can be really distracting, and keep you from seeing all of the light in your life..no matter how bright it may be.

Your shadow will always be with you...if your mood is low your shadow will echo that... but many of us do not know what is inside of us, we don't understand our moods; we don't understand our psyche; we can' really fix it...and there is no place to hide from it...that is the sorrowful part of this well written poem.

A very deep and thought provoking message my friend. I really enjoyed this poem because there is so much in its message. We can never escape our shadows and I feel it knows more about us than we want anyone else to know. Because shadow exists within us as well. This is a really good poem Mauricio.
