Chapter 3

Back at the castle, Hinote is trying to get his son (Izumi) married to the bird clan’s princess. So far he has been unsuccessful. The prince of the dragons spends most of his days running away from his guards and turning into a human, so he can go to the human cities/ towns.

“Izumi, I want you to at least meet the bird clan’s daughter” Hinote says to his son

“No. And let me out!” Izumi yells

“Well, when you start to listen to me I’ll think about it.” Says Hinote leaving the room, when his father is gone Izumi grabs his coat and escapes out the window. He jumps to the ground turns into a human and puts on his coat. Izumi grabs his horse and rides north.

Izumi finally gets to a town called Teki and hides just outside there in a small farm house. Higure finds a whole lot of guards of the castle running in and out of the town.

“What’s going on Sora?” Higure says

“The prince’s horse has been stolen. And my father is letting them search the woods.” Sora replies

“I better go home, I don’t want to get in there way” Higure says walking off, Sora grabs her arm and says

“Be careful” Higure walks towards her house outside town and starts to practise her magic.

“I think I should practise turning into a human,” she says to herself. Higure turns into a girl her age with purple her and a black dress. When she gets to her house she sees the door is open she rushes in. She quickly puts the lamp on and looks around her house. Then from behind her the door closes. She turns around and grabs a bat and says “What are you doing in my house? And did you steal the Prince’s horse?”

“No I didn’t steal his horse and I needed somewhere to stay.” Izumi says trying to get the bat of her.

“And you thought my house would be best, give me one reason why I shouldn’t get the guards” Higure says trying to hit him.

“I thought the house was abandon and I’m just passing through, I’ll be gone by Moring.” He says and then Higure starts to scream so Izumi gets the bat out of her hands and covers her mouth. Getting real close nearly kissing her he says

“Please just till Morning” Higure takes his hands of her mouth and walks down the hall

“You can sleep in the spare room”
