Chapter 4

New rules

In the Moring Higure goes into the village and see a huge pile of dragons. “Yuki, what’s happening?” Higure says pulling her out of the crowd.

“The village elders are telling us that the lion clan has planned on attacking the dragon clan’s inner villages.” Yuki says pointing at the 6 old dragons sitting behind the village chief.

“Everyone the village elders have something they want us to do,” The chief says with a loud voice. Higure think about what the village elder would do if they heard about her keeping a human in her house. “They want us to use our magic to turn into humans,” the crowd get restless after hearing those words. “They want us to be in human form at all times, so starting from now everyone has to be a human.” The chief says walking off the platform. Everyone starts to turn into humans straight away, Higure looks at Yuki transforming into a girl with sky blue hair and a pink dress.

“Yuki, you know you’re not good at transforming” Higure says pointing at what looks to be her tail. Higure transforms and Yuki says

“Why do you have to be such a show off and why are we doing this away.” Yuki says looking at her “Your missing something,” Yuki says pulling out a red scarf “Here you go,” she says tying it around Higure’s waste. A teen about Higure’s age walks up to her and says

“You look beautiful,” Higure turns to face him

“Let me guess your Sora.” She says getting very close to him, Yuki says

“Yeah its him, I have seen him transform before” she says to Higure.

“Away I should get home,” Higure says as she turns and leaves

“Don’t forget I’m coming over today,” Yuki says “wait Sora would you like to come too.” Sora looks at Higure

“Yes please, but only if Higure says I can” Sora says,

“Fine by me,” Higure says still walking towards her house. Then she remembers the man from last night and rushes home. To her surprise he’s not in side, she sighs “He’s gone.” Higure starts her chore of cutting fire wood, then from behind her Izumi says

“I might stay a bit longer, there are too many guards today for me to leave.” Higure turns around to see him carrying wood that seems to be chopped

“What! No, I have friends coming over today,” She says trying to look normal. Izumi drops the wood and gets real close to her

“Then tell your friends about me,” he says. Yuki comes up to her house and knocks on the door, Higure pushes Izumi into an old shed and locks the door. Higure rushes to Yuki and says

“You’re here early,” Izumi gets out of the old shed and listens them talk.

“Yeah well that’s because I wanted to asks you something,” Yuki says looking at Higure “Higure, you know how our parents get to choose who we marry. Because you have no parent does that mean you get to choose?” Yuki says staring at her

“No, it means whoever’s father comes to see me first get my hand,” Higure says letting her inside. Yuki looks at her and say

“So if let say Sora’s father came, then you would have to marry him”  

“Yes” says Higure making some tea, then Izumi comes into the room and says

“Hi honey” Higure drops the pot of tea while Yuki stares at Izumi.

“What the hell do you think your doing” Higure says.

 “Who are you?” Yuki says looking at Izumi and Higure, Izumi walks up to Yuki and says

“You must be Higure’s friend, she’s told me all about you” he says with a grin.

“Well, I’m sorry she hasn’t said a word about you, so who are you?” Yuki says looking at Higure’s face go red with anger. Izumi walks over to Higure and says

“My name is Izumi” he begins as he put his hand over her shoulders “I’m her fiancé.”
