outburst of the tempest

outburst of the tempest

A Poem by Pax
"

~ atlast a poem!

"

I am not in pain

But I’m standing in the hard rain

The wetness makes my feet numb

I succumb to be dumb

A foolish playfulness

Hiding the crudeness

-          I roam around in happy commotion

A complete illusion

The eye of the storm will come my way, someday

I hope not too soon, but in the distant future

For I am not prepared on the messiness it harbors in its back

The harsh judgments that will pour heavily on my shoulders

Then flowing water will flood my sane world

I need my time to organize

My mental, emotional and physical stability

To stand the outburst of the tempest

i think we have to embrace the storm of emotions in our lives...it will help keep us sane if we don't fight it...

and a hard rain is refreshing once in awhile...and i like the first line...almost a disclaimer...don't believe what you read after this line...

i am not in pain, really.

i felt this poem so much i had to change out of my wet clothes.

'I am not in pain
But I’m standing in the hard rain'

this is a strong opening, 'the rain' could stand for a lot of things, the problems we meet in this journey we call life. i never know what to expect on your pages, always a fresh angle or insight and you're one of those writers whose work improves, that is very good to see. :)) i liked this a lot. fantastic.

it's always a pleasure hearing your thoughts my friend ~ your amazing, thank you very much!
I'll openly embrace how you acknowledge grief, but do not implode said emotion. How both fortunate and haunting that must be, well done.

thank you my friend. I will someday...
truly deep and you wrote it brilliantly, I like the words expressed, very good words combination and the story is stunning and really captivating. I like the idea of giving details of the readiness of the person to face the problem in life. and the metaphor the eye of storm is great one. Love this piece, truly I can sense your originality/style in this piece. Thanks for sharing Pax.

Welcome always Pax :) it is my pleasure reading your work.
On my first read, somehow, I had already a grasp of what the poem was trying to convey but I let myself went trough second and third reading to identify what made the poem vague at some aspect.I believe this is a poet's product of stream of consciousness. A depiction of your state of mind too.

Just a side comment :
I think we cannot do but to stay sane in this insane world.

The images you provide are enough to stirr the relevant emotions. Lately, I've been feeling strange, like I'm half-conciously waiting for a storm to strike, or a drift of calmness. I'm staring with dying eyes, but behind the shells of my eyelids I wish for infinite strength. I wanna be radioactive or something. Haha. Expressive write of distress and hope. Thanks for posting. Keep writing.
