Midnight Flowers

Midnight Flowers

A Poem by MOON

Don’t tell me I am not to dance amongst the midnight flowers

Walk away pretend the hours of winning your core is done

That it is my heart you shun and there is no April showers

In the brace of your hold so tight your heart can’t be won

When the door slams on this fiery sunset your presence end our hours

Still I remember that in your weakening love flowers

Don’t tell me there can be no beauty in the breaking dawn

In that quintessential moment in eternity I was born

Romance, commitment, endearment all within the words of your poem that leave a beautiful fragrance in the air! Yes, dance amongst the midnight flowers and remember that which is special to you!

Thanks Sheila , take care.
i like the drip drop rhythm as if tears
could paint the scene on skin trembling
from what poetry can blossom to release
excellent piece

Terrific imagery.

A couple of small edits: "…there [are] not April showers"
"…on this fiery sunset, your presence [ends]" [not the comma after sunset too]

I was a little lost on the line, "weakening love flowers" Is that meant to be a thing, a type of flower, to be "love flowers" growing ever weaker?

"Walk away pretend the hours of winning your core is done" - This line is great, it is so true, we do it all the time. :)
