Nature of the Beasts

Nature of the Beasts

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

...

"
The Burmese python snacks on goats
while spiders ingest flies,
lions wolf down antelope;
Aunt Edna scarfed the pies

Black bears feed on scaly fish,
coyotes munch on fox,
monsters dine on little kids,
the Maytag eats your socks

In case you've ever wondered
about creatures' chosen feasts,
it's just inborn behavior ~
it's the nature of the beasts!

Thank you, Kristan - I'm glad you enjoyed this!
This is a very lovely little rhyme. Of course, what mom can't appreciate the washer eating the socks!

Well, it is the nature of the beasts, no?
You seem limitless in ideas. I marvel at how you do it. Damn Maytag! I wish they'd eat 'em in pairs! Much enjoyed, my friend. You are the best.

Thanks, Anand! :)
It says the way of the mother nature. And it has little funny too. I think we are the part of that nature. Your poems become strong and I need much time to understand them :) However, a nice poem.
