seeking succor of exorcised thought(s)

seeking succor of exorcised thought(s)

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

some thoughts need to be coaxed into the light in order to be exorcised

"
Drip
Grind
Chew
            'til it's dead.
Still
I can't
Get it
             out of my head.

the sleepless dark
slithers somewhere
silent
serenity
softly
soothing
the light
into surrender

The words sit angrily in a discarded heap
waiting for the turn she staunchly refuses them.
Forcing them quickly back down again
When they suddenly surge
to the surface
of her mind
like
vomit

I am constantly surprised by people who don't see the difference.
This feels familiar Lyn. All those thoughts that invade our mind and refuse to go away, leaving us with the dilemma of facing them or biting them down.
When we do find the courage to face them, in an attempt at closure, there is no gaurentee of success, and we realise the door was bolted for a reason.
One day, hopefully...

The formatting of your verses in three distinctive fonts bookmark this as a most indelible piece of work...of art, actually. Very clever!
