My Precious Love letter

My Precious Love letter

A Poem by MandaBear
"

just something i came up with :) I was inspired by one of my friends on here. After reading her poem I had to write this :) So thanks SuicidePact :)

"
Shall I compare thee to a summers day?
Shall I compare thee to any day?
I bequeath my heart to you my dearest.
Dare I say I love you.

You have stole my heart.
A modern day thief.
You knew my one weakness...
A simple kiss.

Though you are not near.
In my dreams you are so clear.
Love you know my every thought.
My every wish, my deepest secret.

I think of writing you all the time
What can I tell you that you don't already know?
I never wanted to see you half as bad as I do now.
I would give anything to see you.

Shall I compare thee to a summers day?
Shall I compare thee to any day?
Is there anything thing I can say?
For you my heart lay.

You are my heart
My soul,
My darkest secret,
My only weakness.

Very beautiful. I like the Shakespearean influence.

i think the first line is inspired by Shakespeare's sonnet 18...but still you wrote it in your own style..very nice..

do i see a glimpse of Shakespeare in this poem? *___*
I could definitely say i caught a glimpse of him in "Mirror, mirror on the wall" as well, i mean the theme "inner beauty is the one that really counts" (you can see he believes the same from some of his great works like for example "My mistress' eyes").
Well, keep this way and i'll become addicted to your poems ! They're already perfect plus you're changing your ancient greeks' myths for Shakespeare (seriously, i love his sonnets) *___*

Loving and desirable emotions in each line. Nicely done.
