HOT!!!!

it's like "Why in the name of God are you outside?" hot
Every day, the temperature is a degree higher than the previous day
No rain in sight...
No rain in sight...
And this is only June
Pre-heat summertime
Wow...

Walking out the door you're greeted by the morning humidity
The sweat glands automatically activate
By midday.dark roving clouds move over the city
A sudden downpour drenches the streets
And just as sudden, the sun reappears again
What felt like the scorching heat of a desert, has now become the insufferable heat of an Amazon jungle
We only have ourselves to blame...

We prayed for rain

my parents lived in Port Arthur...i felt that Texas heat...here in Southern Illinois we are experiencing the same kind of June..."hot town, summer in the city, back of my neck feeling dark and gritty"

I think I would melt if I ever spent a summer in Texas! It gets pretty warm in Minnesota during summer, but it's pretty tame in comparison. And at least we northerners don't have to worry about going without rain for more than a few days at a time. Stay strong, compadre.
