I opened my eyes the next morning to see Liz across the hall applying black eyeliner. "Good morning," she smiled and then faced the mirror once more. I couldn't help but notice that she was still wearing black tights and her shorts from last night. She looked so beautifully awoken. Sliding out from under the black covers I stood in front of the mirror beside her bed. It's amazing how much being in love seems to make you have this glow...but...anyways. Liz came in and sat on her bed. I quickly sat beside her. "How did you sleep?" She asked in a very caring voice.

The truth was, even through my usually sleepless tendencies, I slept unbelievably unbothered. Carelessly, as though someone had given me piles of Percocet. "Good," I mummbled, barely awake, "and you?" My voice sounded...different. I knew Liz probably hadn't slept well.

"Surprisingly, fine." She admitted, a comforting look crossing her face.

Later that day, around noon, I believe, Liz and I sat at her computer desk, trying to convince her boyfriend Tyler nothing had happend between us. "Are you instant messaging my favorite person?" Liz's mother Danyel asked in a sarcastic manner. Liz did nothing in respond except merely raise her head. "We're going to Farmington to get a lawn mower. Do you guys wanna come?" Danyel yelled from the hallway.

After briefly saying no Liz continued on typing "NO!" in respond to Tyler's accusing words. I sat there helplessly as they fought, also trying to convince Andrea nothing had happend. Honestly, I wondered why I was actually bothering. Was it even worth it? As soon as Liz's parents had left and we were done trying to satisfy the minds of our significant others, Liz and I sat down on her bed.

"We should call Alison. You know, go to your house, hangout," Liz's voice seemed to disappear. I thought to myself and picked up my cell phone off Liz's bed. The number had been memorized in my head once Alison and I had made up.

Dialing the number quickly, I could hear Alison's quiet and beautifully girly voice on the other line. I could tell I had just woken her from her pill-caused sleep. "Hello," she answered grimly.

"Hey," Liz and I both shouted into the phone.

"Taylor," Alison asked, " who else is with you?"

"Liz." I said quickly. Her name tasted so delicious in my mouth. Like billion dollar candy and the purest, richest fruit on the planet.

"Oh," I could hear Alison's voice brighten. "So uhm, why are you guys calling?" Alison questioned as though we were aliens she'd never spoken to before.

"You should come with us to Taylor's later," Liz said in an expectant tone.

Alison's breathing had stopped for a split second. "Uh, what time?" She asked.

"In an hour or two," I answered almost asking Liz at the same time.

"Well," Alison sighed, "I don't know. I just did a couple sleeping pills and I was just about to go to bed."

"Oh well," I continued, "too bad. Get ready. We'll be there in a couple hours. I'll call you back in a little bit to give you a specific time." I sputtered quickly then waited for Alison to reply.

Alison took a deep breath. "Ok, I guess," she mummbled.

I hung up quickly after saying goodbye. After a lot of convincing Liz's parents finally agreed to let her come to my house for a couple hours. We picked up Alison on our way through town and then when we got to my house swiftly walked up stairs. "I love the way you walk," Liz had commented when we reached the top of the stairs.

We slid inside and I checked my mom's room. I noticed her boyfriend Kris fast asleep and thought of him as no threat to our good time. "I love your house," Liz blurted when we got to my room. It seemed she had been complementing everything after the previous night.

Alison, tripping over everything, obviously still a little buzzed from her pill rendezvous slowly climbed up onto one end of my queen sized bed. "I should probably call my mom and tell her where I am," she stumbled, her words jumbling together. I handed her my phone as Liz climbed up on the other end of my bed. Alison turned her back to us, trying to get reception. I walked towards Liz's end of my bed, looking for I-don't-even-remember-what, and as I neared Liz she pulled me down, wrapping a fist full of my shirt in her hand. Liz kissed me again. It seemed to be more relaxing every time our lips met. As I heard Alison's soft quiet voice say goodbye to her mother, I pulled away from Liz. "I just love how you guys are like all over each other," I remember Alison commenting.

"Do you have any cigarettes?" Alison looked at me, already knowing the answer. I opened a drawer in the nightstand beside my bed and pulled out an almost full pack of menthols. "As if you can put them in such an obvious place," she said as I handed her a cigarette, "my mom would find them in a second if I put mine in my nightstand." I didn't think anything of Alison's comments.

I handed Liz a cigarette, took one for myself and then led them down stairs behind Kris' snowmobile trailer. Pulling matches out from my back pocket I lit Alison's first, then Liz's and finally mine. I noticed how high Alison was as she sat there swaying. She took little, girly drags, where as Liz took long, exotic-looking drags. It was at that point that Liz and Alison taught me to flick cigarette ashes. Haha, (odd memory).

Alison stumbled back up the stairs. I followed behind her making sure she wouldn't fall. I couldn't help but notice the way her thin hips swayed when she walked. We arrived back in my living room. "I want something to drink," Alison groaned. I made Liz, Alison and I all drinks. I believe they were a mix of Malibu coconut rum, Absolut Vodka and cranberry juice. After that all I really remember is drinking mine, Alison drinking half of hers and Liz being VERY calm.

Kris awoke around four and left quickly. After smoking another cigarette and learning how to light a cigarette off someone else's, Liz, Alison and I lied upside-down on my couch. "I'm hungry," Alison whispered to me. I figured it was probably her munchies. I stood and cut a cinnamon bun in half, one piece for Liz and one for Alison. ( I was still anorexic at that point.)

Once Alison was done with her munchies we sat in a triangle on my couch. "Let's ask questions," Alison giggled, obviously still a little high.

"Ok you start then," Liz replied.

"Okayyyy, I guess," Alison said in a hushed tone. "Why did you kiss me that night if it meant nothing?" I could hear the desperation and pain in Alison's voice.

Liz lowered her eyes. "At the time it didn't mean nothing," Liz said quietly. I could tell Liz was trying to hide the pain swiftly crossing her face. After a few moments of awkward silence Liz lifted her eyes and met my confused gaze. "Ok so I'll go next," she repositioned herself on my couch and went on after a brief pause, "so Taylor, what is it that you like about me."

I sat there, fighting my urge to scream "EVERYTHING!". Slowly I raised my eyes from my fidgetting hands. "The way you're so open and," I stopped to sigh momentarily, "you're so blunt and I feel like you get me and I get you." I could feel myself rambling. "And it's that look in your eyes. The one that says it'll be okay even when I know you're not so sure it will be." All my emotions seemed to be pouring out into this one answer.

Just then my phone rang. It was Danyel. She was on her way to come pick Alison and Liz up. When the girls left I sat in my room evaluating everything. It was beyond impossible that this was perfection but it all still felt so surreal.
