Sadness

Sadness

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

The root cause of sadness

"
On the top of mountain
Sat, calmly, travelling;
through the jungles in the past;
Searching for lost precious gem;
once loved and owned;
lost somewhere;
as the time passes!

Your poem, tho subtle, brings to mind the way some people will spend so much energy climbing the mountain, then at some point, they feel they've "made it" -- sitting atop their accomplishments, seeing all that they had to pass by, all they neglected on the way up. Too bad we can't see the forest for the trees without cutting down all the trees (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks friend
Loss of something loved and precious is a difficult thing to contemplate. That would certainly be like having to climb a mountain in my opinion.

The sense of loss and searching is palpable here and the journeying for that enveloping emotion, well written :)

You elaborated on this great quote. You did it in fine poetry and truth. Wonderfully explained and expressed! Tyfs

Through the jungles in the past.... Yes, rightly said. When past memory entangles then we try to find ourselves from this memory-jungle to search for some real gem. Beautifilly depicted

Loss is indeed a difficult pill to swallow. Especially if it is deep and lives inside one like an embryo, growing and bulging, always present.

You're welcome :)
This was amazing! Breathtaking and powerful, and you managed to put such a big story I want to know more about in a shorter piece. I loved it.
