Let me tell you a secret

Let me tell you a secret

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Give your ear

"
What you see is what you build on this earth
What you see is what earth built for us.
Dynasties are build on beliefs
Dynasties are destroyed on beliefs.
Heaven's and hell are part of this earth
Heaven's and hell are built on beliefs
Millions of bird flock together
To fly away forever to unknown destiny.
Days are counted, likewise months and years
Winners loose their name in near future
Never try to build a large house
Never craft an unending dream today
Creativity howls like a cunning fox
Poets go on playing with attractive words
Never call a storyteller to lead a contingent
Never dream a Yellow flower to be Red
A saint sits inside a darkcave seeking knowledge
Others walks under sun to discover ultimate knowledge.

Unorthodox view but true in a sense. All things, in existence, can be argued to be fictitious in one way or another.
In the end, the only things that shall remain absolute are definitions and concepts, or so I believe. Even if some concepts are not yet named, they exist as an essence of this world. The invisible existences are as important as visible ones. Poetry taught me that much.

Indeed, many towering institutions are built on nothing more than beliefs. Thus are people their own persecutors if they allow themselves to be ruled by religions and politics.

I don’t know why but while reading this my mind went to Bhopal and the thousands who died, heavens and hells built on beliefs.

A poem of contrasts. Your final two lines speak to me about how different we all are. Some like isolation and darkness others need the outside and light to breathe easy. An interesting read Arundass.

That is deep...
Yes, many people are isolating themselves...
It may feel safer, but safety is just an illusion.
We live in a world built by society.
And we need social contact for our health.
Very much enjoyed your work, will read more soon.
