Retaliatory poetry

This poet weaves his heart's desires in ink;
spins webs of thought to catch the curious.
'Tween lines he hides surprise to make you think
that you've been caught in joy, like all of us.

With silk he pens his verse ... the trap is set;
spun love with hope to bait arachnid's prey.
Casts flights of fancy's fine poetic net ~
unique ideas from a mind at play.

Impaled upon a creeping spider's quill,
we poisoned readers read this writer's write.
There's no escape ~ we're paralyzed by will!
Wrapped up like bugs, we're happy for our plight.

If poetry that makes you smile is sought,
be careful, in will's web you might get caught.

Author's Note

willweb wrote a poem for me. Actually talked to me in the poem. The nerve of him! The dishonorable mention caused me to contemplate commiting poeticide. But I decided my only recourse was to write a poem about him. Expose him for the poetic predator he is ... feeding on our smiles like juicy flies.

I haven't decided what species he is yet. Definitely not a tarantula, they don't spin much of a web. Hobo spiders tend to hide out and he makes no attempt to hide his poetic traps. Most likely an English Garden Spider. Big strong webs that catch all of us bugs! Thanks Soren

To satisfy your prey and catch him paralyzed in your Bill's belly, You should have written this with no periods or dots, in this way, You will tempt him with no escape. some Gouwnie sprite's evil dust is good😏. anyway, after reading this don't go to commit a poeticide, because this is still REALLY good with enough preys in your ink's web. even will won't be able to resist the allure. Well, thank you Your Highness. My Devoted Poetess. Evil dust from a sprite inspires creatures of all walks to write. I must confess I did fight with thoughts of poeticide because of the whole mess. But to know I was in Gouwnie's sight, not to mention She who is Omnipotess, stayed my fright and be depressed I was much less. The matter of punctuation is not taken LIGHTly in this little SONG and is something I should address. Perhaps it's on the same cloud of poetical dust that will and I take flight!
