-SO MANY RULES "?"

-SO MANY RULES "?"

A Chapter by Brian Kraklau

fire,

such an amazing innovation,

when the sun rises on each day

expectations are completely rolled into a highly compressed bundle,

thrown into the dampness of the back of one's mind,

on days like these nothing is expected,

because even the wind sends chills down my neck,

when will I get this break from reality,

what we have made up to be reality,

why with these rules,

so much pressure on the mind,

ready to exploit,

she said my time was a wash,

to reach out for help,

to stumble in the dark,

waiting

for at least one hand to reach out

turning this day to line up with my expectations of myself

oh yes

I am immature,

I have no f*****g clue as to how this poison works

I was dead just three seconds ago,

so many rules,

so many people pushing you down as they gasp for air,

picking,

scratching,

kicking their way to the top,

as I sink down towards the depths of this oceanic hell,

will there be someone to lift me away from these burning hands

saving me from drowning in this diverse world

people trying to save themselves,

people trying to use whatever they can,

there are no morals,

there are not values

therefore

why so many rules.

BULLSHIT!
