the next stage...

Football

 

i pull my socks up to my knee caps

my boots are laced up tight,

all the boys are yelling in the sheds

preparing for the fight.

 

today we are all brothers

everyone of us the same,

and we're on that feild for just oe thing

to be victorious in the game.

 

we know that we're already

our coach tells us we're the best,

we're faster and we're stronger

a level above the rest.

 

we run out of the tunnel

the butterflies, moving fast,

but the nerves arenot a worry

im focused on the task.

 

i look over at my team mate

he winks and sends a nod,

he smiles as he slaps his chest

and screams out to the gods.

 

by now the whistles sounded

the ball is i the air,

without a doubt its straight to me

i hear scream "catch it if you dare".

 

but without fear, i reminisce

"everyone of us the same

focused on the battle and our one true task

to be victorious int he game
