The Man Who Ruins Mondays

The Man Who Ruins Mondays

A Poem by Carol Maric

Expect no further word or sign
    from me.
Your own will is whole,
    upright, and free
and it would be wrong not to do
    as it bids you,

therefore I crown and miter
    you over yourself.

--Dante / Purgatorio, Canto XXVII [ Virgil ]

                            ~~~ * ~~~
The Man Who Ruins Mondays
Was Born Amused
With A Jar Of Perforated Hearts.
The First 5000 Were In Accord To Action.
that was a very good start; and I'm interested as to see what else you do with it. I really enjoyed the overall feel, it just made me think something along the lines of *I can tell you what the final goal is but I won't tell you how to get there; you have to make it mean enough to figure out on your own* so yea, I enjoyed this alot, also I'm desperatly new here (lol) how do you add things to your favorites??
Dem Mondays be always ruined by THE MAN! stick it to de THE MAN the I says - he says "you is fired" the I says "no you is one who is fired"
Realisayshun - dem be ones who burn in pleasure fire - dem be ones who get what dem want for all eternity - see how dem like eternal pleasure till it hurt like hell.
The I don't bend his knee no more.
I like the twist of meaning implicated in using "accord to action" ijn the context of events that do not imply "accord" - the perforating of hearts.
Your mind is fascinating with the way you see things.
A man who could redeem Monday's...now that would be a man.
this is one of those poems that's like a great meal in an expensive restaurant. you know you can't eat anymore, you know you're stuffed but you still want more. i would love for this to be younger, but for what reason? so i could roll over full and hardly able to move? :) "perforated hearts" has a nice ring. :) i love how specifically general this is. kudos!
I like it. It speaks shortly, yet so profoundly. A man who can ruin a monday---What a creative way to display a beast
