Little poems

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Deadly thoughts

"
Did we love enough?
Did we run away to find something more wonderful?
Or did we fear the ending before the beginning?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You were the most beautiful girl I ever known.
You made me smile, you knew how to make you laugh.
You held me so tightly and you knew.
Love is fleeting and I was a storm.
Wanting everything and nothing in the same words.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do men become stone and rock?
Does passion disappear with age and replaced with,
hard memories and becoming lost in shallow graves?
I remember love, love don't remember me.
Did I kill the need to love? Did I kill my lover passion?
Or does the heart need less with the adding of new moons.
Old age, becoming sour wine memories.

these three little
poems entwined
beautifully with
the format used
how love is fleeting
reproaching ones self
'did we love enough'
remembering a
smile and sweet
caress.

now just memories
of bygone days
when time has
changed the game
of love but does
the heart really
outgrow the need
of love and longing
thereof..with the
passage of time?
I think not..

Nice Work John

There is sad melancholy thread throughout the tree pieces Coyote John. They cascade until we reach the depth of the deeper final poem and give much food for thought.

Thank you John for reading and the comment. Been listening to too much Johnnie Cash new songs.
the questions in this, the metaphors, all of it is absolutely wonderful. And not to mention the formatting adds to it. I just love each word and the way you wrote it. The formatting makes me feel as if time is passing, and yet, he still misses her. Thank you for sharing this!

I find all three to be connected like threads. There's a sadness to each one that is palpable. Nice writing, Coyote.
