Did I tell you?

Did I tell you?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

A wise person is thankful for what he has.

"

Did I tell you?

I don't remember if I told you how beautiful you are.

I have allowed so many things to blind my eyes.

Allowing disappointment to steal my smile and laughter.

I know.

If you left me.

I would become lost again.

I have twisted up my life in useless dreams.

Victories seem so far away.

Now I know.

You are my  only sweet dream.

That  I  have  gathered in my time of living.

I want to tell you.

I love you more than my own life.

Without you.

I would have no purpose.

Your love for me is a blessing.

A gift to a man so thankful for you.

Thankful for a kind lady  that touched his life.

I love you.

Your words are beautiful truth Coyote. This poem is a jewel to put in the crown of your love. It matches her beauty, as the photo shows. Eloquent, lyrical, tender...a song to the person whose love must never be taken for granted...in good times and bad...”Did I tell you?” In this poem, you did. Superb!

Uh huh...now for the theatre, wine, roses, dinner and dancing and of course you must wear a tie. Now that's a thank you! That and this lovely poem might even get you a weekend to hunt and fish. (laughing) Just kidding! This was sweet and romantic and straight from the heart, loved it. I'm sure she will too.

Very sweet and very true. So often we forget to remind the people that stick by us that we love and appreciate them when really we should be telling them every day. Nice write.

A sweet poem with a nice, moving message. Emotional, and it really conveys the love you feel for a woman so important to you. Others commented on the flow. While it's not exceptional, I don't think it's at all bad, and at no point in the poem do the words sound choppy or is the rythm off. Poems are sometimes stronger when they don't rhyme, and yours converys such sweet emotion and sophisticated love that I wouldn't change much of it. Good job, Coyote.
