A Cup Of Kindness

A Cup Of Kindness

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

the reuniting of old friends

"

Lift your glass and sit with me

As stories we color bright.

Let us wax the moon and stars

Till the sun brings its light.

Your breath of life beats in my heart

And your smile I always see.

So with this chance encounter

Sit and drink with me.

I really enjoyed these lines
Let us wax the moon and stars, Till the sun brings its light.

What a feeling to have drink until sun brings light when moon and stars are waxed

Not a drinker, but i certainly can envision the moments described in this poem. Like some say, there is nothing like good wine and good company.

A gently flowing piece. Nice work.

This is a beautiful reminder of so many all-nighters, drinking wine with someone special. You've captured all the essentials in your brief word portrait . . . conjures up so many deeply-hidden longings! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

The sentiment is sweet and present but the rhythm of the flow feels off... second and fourth stanzas.
