love poem

Cascading 

Cascading wheat bend to barefeet, 

twinkling eyes a starlight treat.. 

A path is made by fading light to find the moon 

to be a pale nightlight. 

Cascading water, music to the soul, 

shoes in hand,  lapping tide, at toes. 

Cascading hair tumbles down,  

and cascading dress hits the ground. 

Sparkers swim by dead of night,  

As emotions cascade, and  lovers unite.

Wow Cherrie you set the scene so vividly as the protagonist makes love by the ocean. Cascade is a sensual concept in many of the examples as you mix these with nature and provide a visceral piece of love poetry.

i didn't read a hitch in it at all .. like it as is .. but i know what you mean ... i resist the temptation to read old poems because i know i will re-write them all ;} ...

I know we make so many changes as we look over older pieces, I'm not sure all of them make it better. Maybe the changes just better reflect our mood.
I did change line two, better flow I think, but then again in a year who knows how it might evolve.

read it again of course ;) could not tell where you changed it ... its strength in my opinion, it the cascading of sights, sounds and love .. it brings an exciting soft titillation to me heart and soul .. especially blesses me with the water ..when i hit that it takes me into such a fine meditative place ..of comfort and assurance ..did i say i like this poem?? ;)
