Beastly Beauty

Beastly Beauty

A Poem by Tasha
"

Will Belle ever find true love despite her looks?

"
Everything is in its place,
the music,
the dress,
all except for my date...
because of my "beastly" appearance,

No one to dance with,
no one to talk to,
no one to make me feel beautiful inside and out
I'm all alone in this world...
without a soul  to protect me

Until you show up...

You came out of nowhere,
through the crowd
just to say hello to me
you take my hand, and we dance,
we dance as if no ones watching

You kiss me and I stare at you blankly,
I ask: "Why'd you do that?"
and he says: "I love you for whats on the inside, not the outside"

As we look into each others eyes
I remember what my mother always said to me:
"Inner beauty if far more beautiful than outer beauty."

I actually felt beautiful,
for the first time in my life...
and I hadn't been told a lie

I found someone to adore me
for me,
and for being just the way I am

Well planned poem. The scale is written clearly, it flows dramatically. Agree with your words too, "Inner beauty if far more beautiful than outer beauty". Now days, many people would only care on our appearences but not our personality. We need ot realiza that the way we look doesn't equals to that we're that kind of person. I love Beauty and the Beast, I learnt such a meaningful message here.

This is so sweet, and it reminds me of someone I met recently. I love how you kind of take the main message of Disney princesses' movies and create poems about them. Nice write! :D

There're a couple places where you're missing apostrophes, and "without a sole" should be "without a soul." Another of your great twists on a fairytale, though.

A beautiful ending to a old story turn around. I like the way you told the story. Real beauty is hidden in the heart and it is showed in what we do and say. A excellent poem.
