Verba (translation below)

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

My very first poem in latin, it probably sucks, my only goal was writing in this extremely hard language (the hardest I've studied so far) xD

"
Scribe, quod verba valentissima sint,
scribe, quod verba omnia possint.
Quod hodie scribas,
cras mundum mutare potet.
Metue ne non quod vis scribere
ut iustissimum otium est.
Multa dicit verba nihil potent,
noli eos audire !
Maximus est iustae causae ferre
verba gestaque.
Noli eum oblivisci:
Verba valentissima Dei dona sunt;
Noli eis effundere !

TRANSLATION
Title: Words (lit. "spoken/said stuff")

Write, because words are very powerful,
write, because words can do everything.
What you write today
can change the world tomorrow.
Don't be afraid of writing what you want,
since it (writing) is a very fair activity.
A lot of people say words can't do anything,
don't listen to them !
It is of major importance to carry on fair causes
with words and actions.
Don't forget it:
Words are a very powerful God's gift,
Don't waste them !

I am full of admiration for your ability to write in Latin. As I understand very little, I have not been able to check it, knowing you - I bet it´s fine. And the English version is a fine poem, so double congratulations

That's what we're all here to do, Parisien, write. Some of us live in countries where it's acceptable to write anything we want. Others, unfortunately live under tyrannical regimes, and may end up in jail, or assassinated as a result of their writing. These are our martyrs.

While i don't know Latin, i do know Spanish and that allowed me to read some of it; glad you put in the translation though. I like the Latin because the rhythm is smoother and i always find it's easier to rhyme in Spanish; which is heavily influenced by Latin, so there's my two cents.
