Paradise

Paradise

A Poem by Marisa

Timid, delicate strings build, sending a rush through my bloodstream as they ascend to a joyful swirl.

I feel my chest rise and fall, as I breathe in, and sweetly sigh out, each note.

Eyes closed, a soft smile lightly sweeps across my face.

Whispered hints of hope and romance are revealed as her story unfolds.

Tears of overwhelming beauty smile down my cheeks as I'm lost in her vast, whimsical layers.

' Eyes closed, a soft smile lightly sweeps across my face. ' What a sublime feeling ..

Music is a real Lorelie, can lure a body into the most wonderful places and when calm and gently lilting, there's a moment when you feel as if you're very much alive yet surrounded by the most sublime calm. That's what your poem suggests and so beautifully, 'Tears of overwhelming beauty smile down my cheeks as I'm lost in her vast, whimsical layers.'

Music has the power to make us cry, laugh, or throw something across the room out of energy. You did this nicely. Good writing.
