A Forsaken Historia

A Forsaken Historia

A Chapter by Wayward Soul

There are beings capable of altering reality as we know it, they are as old as time, and far more dangerous than any nation. These beings of mystery are known as forsaken, most bear no grudge against humanity, but for what ever reason, some do. Through out history they have been there, guarding humanity from evil of the supernatural verity, but to get farther in our tale, we must go over what little we know about these "Forsaken"

They are forces incarnate, life, nature, war, time, death, etc. they look almost human, with a few un-natural features, horns, grey skin, glowing eyes, and more. We know not how they came to be, nor do me know why, but what we do know is most are on the side of humanity. They have the ability to share there powers with humans, in a process known as a shadow pact, but in exchange for this unimaginable power, they discard there human lives, and in rare cases there humanity entirely. But there is still much to learn about them.

I do hope this aids you in what ever you sought it out to do, and tread lightly, for you are tangling with unfathomable forces, and I wish you Godspeed in your task.

digging the title of this one, automatically draws the reader in.

it's building up but I feel this may benefit from a more formulaic opening. when a piece is as short as this you can get away with making it more literate. Maybe check out bible verses and the Necronomicon handbook which is a reference to all lovecraft mythology. just a suggestion as I feel this needs to be even more grand to introduce the forsaken, maybe a bit more vaguely put to keep your reader guessing :)
