I still visit the profiles of old friends here, some that I know seldom if ever, revisit the site. Others are departed from life itself. I revisit their comments on my posts on other sites as well. I'll find one and say, well, wasn't that nice? This is eloquently poignant. I enjoyed and I relate. F.

As do I. They are like monoliths on a partways barren land.
I have been a member for 4 years and i come and go i must admit, there are always issues with cliques and nastiness on this site. I have come back this time and many old friends have left sadly :(
Aw NOW you have me soaked in guilt on this rainy day.
I did not abandon Dear Man, I wandered, I ran, My words lost and my heart broken

Wow. Feeling this at the moment. I certainly step away from my writing at times. It pulled my heart string. So many times we leave the thing that gives us a panel for our words.

And some words need to be spoken. Thanks Jennesis.
Just about summarizes me right now. The last few weeks of college burned me out pretty bad, and now I can't really think of anything new and interesting to write as far as poetry goes. I'm hoping it goes away soon, but for the time being, I'm just focusing on other projects (book writing...very slowly, music making...very frustrating, and training to go on American Ninja Warrior someday...very painful).
But enough about what's going on in my life, let's talk about the poem. I really enjoyed it. The free-verse style is done well here, you're vocabulary is nice and diverse, and the way you described things is both satisfying on the visualization side of things and simple at the same time. If you ask me, this site has been becoming less and less active since early last year, which is a shame, as this site is put together fairly well compared to other sites which, although good, are way more complicated than they need to be.
Overall, you did a great job with this piece. Keep up the fantastic work! :)
Love the poem, hate the reality of this since it's so true. I tried joining wattpad and that seems worse unless you beg or share your story.

This is sad. I just recently returned after a 6-month hiatus, and I know others worried and wondered about me as well. I just reached a point where I didn't have anything to say. Sometimes, life just wears you down like that; and you just need some silence. During that time, I honestly felt like a piece of me was missing. Writing feels good in so many ways, and I'm glad to be back. I think over the last day, I clicked to read some work only to discover that the profiles were closed.

Lots of old friends are gone though occasionally one or two will pop in for a visit. Perhaps they found themselves at a loss for words also. I'm empty of words all the time, I just hang around.
It seems so unfair, Tim.
We become attached to a writer through sharing poems, stories, comments, reviews, and messaging … then, they remove their works, leave with no warning, notice, or reason, leaving us to wonder and worry what happened, will they return, are they alright, have they died? And, when they leave their poems up, as though they'd kicked them to the curb, just abandoned them, everything we'd grown to admire, love, and enjoy, as if to say, "Here, you can have' 'em, they're no good for me anymore.
I've even reviewed some of them, hoping, wishing, they'll read them and come back, or just to feel close to them again in some way, even knowing they'll, probably, never read my review or comment back … it's so sad to lose those we've grown so close to and/or fond of.
You've done an exemplary job of portraying the emotions of doleful feelings, and the exact imagery of how it all effects so many, me in particular, and it's not just the poetry, it's the people I miss … whom so many miss.
There should be a rule that no one can leave without an explanation.
Good stuff, Tim … thanks a zillion for posting and sharing.
I hope you'll stick around, My Friend! ⁓ Richard : )
