BREAK 

 I was broken when she rejected me.

 

But all my love for her never broke away.

 

 

 

If she ever finds herself broken, I know I can be there for her.

 

 

I gave this note to a lover of hers, who I knew was a bad influence on her.

 

-If you ever break her spirit, I'll break your will to live.-

 

-If you ever break her legs, I'll break the hands that broke them-

 

-If you ever break her jaw, I'll break your face-

 

-And if you ever break her heart...

 

 

...then I'll break your neck.-

 

 

Four days later, I heard news of her death. It broke me into pieces.

 

 

 

It turned out that she killed herself, because her lover was too terrified to defend her after he received the note. She did not like the idea of a cowardly man.

 

I could've been there for her. I could've defended her from anything. There's no real Superman out there, but I know I could've been the next best thing, had she chosen me.

 

 

 

Her death broke me apart.

 

 

 

 

 

 

And so I broke myself, by breaking the man she loved.
