Bin Jargon

Bin Jargon

A Poem by Mockingbird

the radio blared static
sending skewed signals
to common circuits
diluting perceptions
as the waves took them
deeper into aphasic waters.

they spoke in bin jargon
cognition failure
was evident.
they couldn't hear
through the static
and their own mad ramblings.

they decided to wage war
against the enemy
though the battle
had already been decided.

they had no allies
they did away with us all.
we spoke a foreign frequency
so they left us behind.

armed with a broken radio
they went off on their crusade
to slay the encroaching demons
and return with the spoils.

that's the last anyone
has seen of them
except for the distant sound
of static
ramblings.

This poem dives beneath the surface of all rationales for discord, personal & official. You apply just enough lucidity to the static hiss to tug at one's subliminal understanding that all clashes are neuro-linguistic damages pointing vague fingers at projected "demons." Powerful.

I like the total feel of the poem. The title really puts intrest on it aswell. Intresting read.

I feel a bit "Close Encounterish" Mb...though I'm probably totally off base but I don't care...that's the way I see it.....
perhaps that explains it...I've been wondering what I've been listening to on the radio these past 20 years...now I know.
wonderfully written, with very little jibberish and rambling
loved the ending

I wonder what the collective "they" came up back with, perhaps a crusade in blaming and passing the buck, perception, this could be taken in so many forms..but I love it good stuff

i like the static for sure...i think this needs a follow up...not necessarily a sequel...but something more...i think i want more

Intriguing. While not exactly cryptic, this poem may be interpreted in many ways. I prefer to think that this is a poem bemoaning how fights and wars are started on entirely baseless reasons. I might be wrong though. Regardless, this is a thought provoking write.

P.S. I admire the way you weaved the word "aphasic" into the poem.
