Strong

Little stressed about a new job, so I needed to write SOMETHING to get my mind off it.

Countless actions I have made

Took me to a higher place

Throughout all the right and wrongs

Time has brought me up so strong.

 

Unending flow of pain

Heart quenched in smokeless flame

All the feelings now have gone

Leaving me eternally.

 

Now I rest on solid ground

Gazing up into the stars

Wondering where I should belong

Knowing how I’ve been so strong.

A pure and honest piece of soul-searching that I think we all can relate to on some level or another. Change is never easy, but sometimes change is good. I do sense optimism in this piece as it winds down, so hopefully the latter awaits you. Well done :)

I loved this...we all question where we belong as life goes on. Even through pain, we are able to push through and be presented to new and better opportunities! We will always have our bad days, but those only put us down so we can build up the courage to come back swinging and stand strong when no one else believes in us. We must believe in ourselves in order to live our life the best we can.

were the most simple verses yet the ones with the greatest impact. The rhyming was incredible and I think what ever it is about, a new job, a new school, a new project, a new step in life, every one feels exactly this way. You did an amazing job, Michael. :)
