You cut the silence like a knife.

A poem I wrote based on a loved one.

Close my eyes;

Love is the only truth

How can we trust once again?

Because nothing ever dies.

 

Pure as a well of youth

Her eyes glimmered blue

Hearing the Sound of her voice

Made me believe.

 

Leave me forever

Alone in the dark

Wishing and dreaming

You have my heart.

 

Once I believed I could find

Just a trace of her beloved soul

I've fallen deep

Nothing could bring her to life.

 

Sail on as the show goes on

Moonlight falling down on me

Is it way too much to ask?

You cut the silence like a knife.
