Wind Songs in Acappella

Wind Songs in Acappella

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Wind Songs in Acappella

another June precipitates days

of sun bleached hair

weekends of cocoa buttered skin

and volley ball beaches

with Picasso sunsets

and margarita evenings

as seagulls in adept formation

gather wind songs  in acappella.

I am most thankful for your presence here, Nev. Thank you!
I'm a Florida boy... I miss everything in this poem. I recently discovered a fellow on YouTube named Davydas who takes me home to St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. Between your poem and this guy, I'm so homesick, I could cry. He has since moved to Cali.
If you listen, you have to skip through the first 3 mins or so while he sets up the electronics.

We need margarita nights, the sea near and laughter. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Thank you!
Vivid imagery of June; you really bring out the colors of this lovely month…. And I live acappella…. Whoever sings it… the different tones make it so pleasant to the ear… and the gulls May do that too…I love the words “ Picasso sunset”……especially in June when you have to say up later to see it….everything fits so well Kelly.
Best

Thank you, Tony. I always enjoy hearing from you!
June, to me is the month of making love on the beach, as I've never done that before but my 6th sense says so lol. You used beautiful symbols here and I could feel the America through your poem, although I've never been there. Nice poem👌

I enjoyed the very vivid descriptions. I like how a few words can describe so much. like Picasso sunsets and margarita evenings. You create an immediate ilustration. Very beautiful summer poem =)
