Wind Songs in Acappella

Wind Songs in Acappella

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Wind Songs in Acappella

another June precipitates days

of sun bleached hair

weekends of cocoa buttered skin

and volley ball beaches

with Picasso sunsets

and margarita evenings

as seagulls in adept formation

gather wind songs  in acappella.

I can feel the warmth of the sun and picture lively games of volleyball on the beach. The cocoa butter is wafting in the breeze while the sunset reflects a peaceful look of contentment. The margarita is icing on the cake. I love this beautiful write that touches deeply all of the senses. Another stunning piece Kelly!

Thank you for your visit, Pete. Always a pleasure having you here!
I like it! Short, sweet and description packed. I can't say I'm very fond of seagulls though. I love to see them flying. But they are greedy beggars on the ground. I saw one almost take a woman's finger who was trying to feed it bread from her hand off the back of a ferry. Some people are just not very smart. I was tossing bits into the air to watch them swoop but I never once thought of hand-feeding them, just, no.
