Spring and the first glimpse of the primordial capital’s true magnificence Exposed, as sun’s solar tentacles creep through ancient branches Upon the face of ramsons and wild garlic carpeted woodland floor
Slowly raising golden hues illuminating outer humble dwellings Bryophyte and clay mash construction with pine cone tiled roofs In each abode there are not just occupants but individual stories
These everyday folk live an ethos of not what went before or future No ticking clocks exist as time is not a restrictive metered measure Forest Elves record life passages from each in and out of breath
Silvaque Perdendas stands on an immense rising forest mound An island city surrounded by crystal waters of the River Of’lyfe Giving a natural fist line of defence for realm’s predator protection
Equal distance from all of the points on island’s circumference Dominantly imposing stands the oak hewed imperial citadel Where can be found the throne of the High Elf Lord Araceae
Like trickles of crimson dye the streets roll down to water’s edge Descending in authority from noble class to humble gatherer The melange of community guaranteed their vibrant survival
Mystics, lawmakers, artists, crafters, builders, farmers, defenders Equal in importance and cooperative in all communal affairs A forest fortress established both on conviction and mutuality This is a humble account of my land, my city and my fellow elves Whom I grasp close to heart in total admiration, pride and esteem favour
