When I tell you a lie

try not to cry

it's what you've always taught me

don't you see

When I look you in the eye

Tell you the same lie

The truth hidden in my eye

Neat the way you keep flipping the perspective. I might cut out a couple words. Some of this lines don't flow as nicely. For example, instead of "When I look you in the eye", maybe When I look in your eye"--just a thought!

I believe this is a pretty good representation of when people try and cater their personalities to their loved ones to please them. Always heading for the disaster so it gave me a feeling that the relationship will eventually not work. good job.
