Junior

Junior

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

It's in his blood.

"

Little Junior Dracula

Desires to surmount

His family’s gothic legacy;

Someday he’ll surely Count

The little sucker works so hard

From moonrise to moonset

He stokes his natural appetites ~

He’ll earn that black cape yet

Junior Drac is expert

In “mirroric nonreflection”

And from his coffin, practices

His midnight resurrection

He keeps his canines sharp as spears

He’ll do just what it takes

To someday rule Bran Castle,

No matter what the stakes

"Little sucker, surely Count, what the stakes." Groanworthy indeed, but very clever and great fun.
Superb meter and rhyme (nonreflection/resurrection!).
The drawing of the face fits the text perfectly. Did you draw it yourself?
Thanks for an enjoyable read. Richard
