Junior

Junior

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

It's in his blood.

"

Little Junior Dracula

Desires to surmount

His family’s gothic legacy;

Someday he’ll surely Count

The little sucker works so hard

From moonrise to moonset

He stokes his natural appetites ~

He’ll earn that black cape yet

Junior Drac is expert

In “mirroric nonreflection”

And from his coffin, practices

His midnight resurrection

He keeps his canines sharp as spears

He’ll do just what it takes

To someday rule Bran Castle,

No matter what the stakes

Not living in the non-reflective shadow of your father bites.

Thank you so much, Lobster! Fun is a favorite Muse...
So funny and creative . I like how you pass Dracula's craft to the family succession of sorts. Is the son going to outdone the father? That is left to be seen for he is filling in big shoes...Bravo

Yep - and he's in full-vampire mode! :)
Haha I liked it! A little bit of humor and easiness to get us all in the Halloween spirit. This is one that could be read to children, which I kind of like.

Ahhh... good one, Renee! ;) Thank you!
You're a talented poetic comic, and a virtuoso at taking advantage of the multiple meanings of words. This is an excellent composition. I know of thousands of 'em, they're called mosquitoes.
