The Poets Dare to Dream

The Poets Dare to Dream

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Dedicated to all the Poets at the WC

"

The poets dare to dream

They give their visions voice

They sing of sighs and butterflies

And make the heart rejoice

The poets dare to dream

They tell their thoughts to soar

At their command words take a stand

Upon a stormy shore

The poets dare to dream

They lift the wings of prayer

They share their souls and lofty goals ~

Long live the poets’ dare!

This is a beautiful tribute. Daring to dream, daring to think, daring to say those things that no one wishes to hear, daring to expose the ugly, the neglected, the forgotten. We dare with every line and the precipice becomes steeper, the air thinner. It is what makes us feel alive.

Yes indeed, this is very beautiful! You are so right about all poets, we dream and write and the passion shines through.
Love the rhyme, flow and imagery you created here.
The second verse is my favourite!

Thank you, Cassie - so glad to give you a lift today!
Well now, what can I say here that's hasn't already been said? This is a much-needed breath of fresh air, a moment to stop and take stock of the whole situation...to say this is inspiring would be wildly obvious...it's like having someone tell you that it's all worth the trouble you know? Beautiful work Rita, and a pretty ingenious form to boot ;)
