Whine Stopper

Whine Stopper

A Poem by Rita L. Sev

There’s air in my lungs

My neurons are firing

My heart keeps a-beating,

My eyes still admiring

There’s food in the pantry,

A roof overhead

Got clothes on my back

And I’m happily wed

If there’s ever a day

When I grumble and whine

Remind me of these ~

I’m doing just fine

This was wonderful and filled with truth Rita. How we often forget just how lucky we are to have what we have and sometimes just need that gentle prod when we lose sight of it all.

Loved it

Thanks, Troy!
Not much I can say about this one, it's all in the poem...it should be simple logic yet it seems like the hardest thing to embrace at times, especially for those with mood issues...my mother is constantly reminding that I'm alive and should be thankful for that alone...it took a couple of decades but it's starting to sink in, probably a byproduct of simply getting older...great words and message my friend.

Ha same difference, some poisons are just more expensive. haha ;)
i know how that is...some days we just simply forget that in the big scheme of things, we do have it pretty damn good.

nicely expressed, my friend.

It's good to take inventory every once in awhile... Thank you, Jacob.
Steady beat. Consistently positive.
Consider putting space between your quartets so the rhyme scheme is more stable.
I'm not convinced change is the best idea, so just consider it.

Like getting a hug :)

Very good... Thanks, Mark.
That is such a great attitude to take… to many people waste time worry bout what they don't have instead of appreciating what they do have… I thank God for every day that I wake up.

Me, too, Dale - Misery may love company, but I like the smaller, happier crowd! Thanks!

Well if misery loves company then I would rather be a loner :) You are welcome.
