Buttercup Grass

Honey Rose dances in buttercup grass

that reaches clear up to her knees;

She waltzes the meadow

and leaps through the woods,

her music the birdsong and breeze

and the Sun smiles down

on sweet Honey Rose

keeping time with the Summer’s rich tune

beckoning us to join the ballet;

the melody changes so soon

Nice poem. I tried to picture it, the meadow in the summer and the buttercups. In our country there is no four seasons. so I love these four seasons. And your poem make me feel it's real.

Sigh, it does change so soon, doesn't it? This week started with a heat wave and ended with two cold and rainy days that left me with a touch of a cold, but this is like a ray of sunshine...you always have the the perfect words for bringing a scene to life my friend...I could just feel the buttercup tickling my knees...this is a peaceful little journey, innocent and idyllic...lovely work Rita :)
