Chapter 2 - Lilli's POV

Chapter 2 - Lilli's POV

A Chapter by Ruba Almalahi

Do you know the saying that says 'What goes around, comes around'? Well, guess who hates this saying. "Remind me again why didn't you let me kill him?" I asked trying to use my powers to break to f*****g cell.

"Because we knew that he most probably called for reinforcements so killing him would have made everything worse." Ruba reasoned "However this wouldn't have happened if a certain someone didn't insult the king." She added and looked at Ruby who looked as if she's in her own personal world.

"Hey! How about instead of laying down, you come and f*****g help us?!" I yelled at Ruby, but as expected she just shrugged what I said off.

"No can do. The cell is made of pure silver and it's coated with wolfs-bane." She calmly responded as if we have the time of the world.

"If you help us get out of here, I'll buy you pizza." Ruba said, and at that Ruby looked at her and gave her all of her attention.

"Promise?"

"Cross to my heart." With that Ruby stood up and dusted off her pants.

"This is going to hurt." She told me, then punched me. Hard. That moment, everything I saw was blood red and everything around us was starting to get coated with my anger essence.

"Do you think it's the right time to play games?" I asked calmly slowly approaching her and surprisingly she looked very calm that it started to anger me even more.

"Yup. I'm bored." She said smiling at me. And let me tell you this angered me even more to the point where any essence started burning. All I wanted to do was to kill her. Until Ruba snapped me out of my thoughts.

"It's working!" She said and that made me look at the door and to my surprise the door and the walls were all melted like ice cream during the summer.

"Can I go see one of the guards?" Ruby asked excited.

"No! You're going to get us into more trouble than what we are in now!" Ruba scolded in return, Ruby pouted and I smirked at her. "Why do you even want to go see a guard?"

"Well, I wanted to ask him why didn't they give us pizza if they wanted to put us in the cells." She said and we looked at her in disbelief. "Well, let's go eat pizza. You promised you'll buy." She smiled at us and was skipping towards, I assume, the exit of the cells, where we most likely going to meet more guards. But surprisingly, she didn't head that way,

"Where you going? That's not where the exit is?" I whispered, but Ruby just smirked and continued walking. "Don't ignore me you b***h!"

"Just follow me. I know this place like the back of my hand." She said then suddenly, she abruptly stopped in her tracks. "Do you hear that?"

"What?" Ruba asked not hearing anything, for she has the strongest senses among us three.

"The voice of no-guard-is-going-to-follow-us." She replied then continued walking like she didn't just say the most stupid thing ever.

"You scared the s**t out of me!" Ruba whispered while I was trying to stop myself from killing her here and now. Shortly, we reached a dead end and Ruby pressed on the wall but nothing happened.

"Are you kidding?" I whispered on the brink of pulling out her heart, however, she just shushed me and looked at the wall. Slowly, the wall started to disappear into the ground and what's behind it...

Guards.

"Remind me to never trust you again." Ruba said, however, I knew better.

"That's a light illusion. There are light witches somewhere here." I said alerted, looking around for her. You see even though the ancient witches (sentimental witches) are stronger and can sense other witches, light and dark witches have the advantage of being able to not be seen by them meaning even though we can sense them, we can't see them.

"Don't worry about her. She's probably with the king right now." Ruby dismissed. But oh was she wrong about that. Because moments later, they appeared right before us. Ruby, though, look calmer than what I expected and added "Well, I certainly didn't expect that."

"Well, well, well. I see you didn't change much. You still run around territories causing trouble, huh Ruby?" one of the witches said.

"You know me. I love to cause trouble for our beloved king. However, this time, I didn't cause any trouble. So putting us in a cell for no valuable reason is practically against Were-Laws. Am I not right, Merida?" she said to 'Merida', however, she just smirked.

"Do you expect me to believe that? After all, the king is who ordered to put you here." The witch 'Merida' replied.

"Then tell me the reason to why he put us three here."

"You let a vampire cross the royal territory and almost killed a royal guard." Another witch replied. And Ruby rolled her eyes then merely smirked at her.

"Actually, we didn't cross the territory, and we defended ourselves which is why the guard got frightened not injured. Therefore, what you're doing is nonsense." Ruby explained.

"And I'm supposed to believe you over the king?" Merida mocked smirking at her, but Ruby nodded at her causing the smirk on her face to vanish and get replaced with a glare.

"So, can we pass?" Ruby asked in mocking innocence, smiling at the witch as if she will easily let us pass.

"Over my dead body." The witch's glare intensified even more at Ruby.

"That can be managed." Ruby replied then kicked her head. The witch's head hit the ground hard, knocking her out. And with that all hell broke loose.

***

Light witches attacked us furiously and most of them were trying to attack Ruby and Ruba but not me and I truly felt offended. My sight was turning bright red and my body started spreading my irritation essence. The witches were caught off guard and started to attack me instead. I noticed Ruby running towards Ruba and that momentarily caught my attention. Deciding to ask later and stop this nonsense now, red liquid surrounded the witches. Screams of pain were let out; screams of fear were yelled but that didn't stop.

The sound and aura of fear and pain from light or dark witches always filled me with power; always thrilled me.

And once their screams stopped, my vision returned back to its original state. I looked around me and saw white dust everywhere 'I did it again' I thought, but I didn't feel the guilt. I knew it was bound to happen and I know that light witches always had a dark side that only ancient witches can see, I know, I witnessed it.

Suddenly I felt my power freeze. And I know why. The only supernatural creature that can freeze a sentimental witch's power by their mere presence is a Lycan. Meaning a royal werewolf.

"What happened to the cells?!" The voice boomed. Causing a shiver of fear encrypt through me. I looked at Ruba and Ruby, Ruba's eyes widened with terror and Ruby's eyes narrowed with pure hate and despise, realizing that we can't run away anymore, we approached each other.

"He's here." Ruba whispered, her skin paler than her already pale skin. Her body was shivering. She knew that Lycans are the only supernatural creatures that can kill a vampire's demon.

"It's alright. Everything will be okay." Ruby whispered and held our hands.

He entered with a speed faster than one of a vampire or a werewolf. His dominant presence hit ours with an unnatural force. And if we were just afraid before, we are terrorized now.

The person that is feared even by the vampire king.

The Alpha King, Damon Silvers.

And what he said next was not what I expected him to say. Not by a long shot.

"Mate."

Is what he whispered.
