Syllabus Re-Engaged

Syllabus Re-Engaged

A Poem by Chase Dylan
"

An angel with no wings...

"
Yeah I see that syllabus re-engaged
now I drift through space an angel with no wings
An angler with no angle to catch dreams
I see screams desecrate reams of paper on the floor
I gasp
carve myself out an inch of porn to sleep soundly by the boards of four
It's floorboards or scores of scones some might call w****s
I don't implore nor goad the lord when searching for toads under stools
but still my sword is proof toadstools can fool
Shall I rule?
hand out gruel...
It's cruel, I know
to be misused, but truth be soon on the heels of lollipop ruse
Rust evolves like holograms blue
I sound out every syllable proof, so they can find me with helium loops
Ionic iconic sonic like spill-proof hydroponics, hydraulics engage
It's hyper-soluble double solvable embolics
gullible solvent a salvo of embellished linguistics
All or nothing-north star facing holistic bumbling
a bee sting 'n' I'm fumbling for ballistic crumbling
As cityscapes scrape on vape clouds waked
I sense baste as the paste of filthy high-brows quake

Cool poem. That was fun to read. For some reason, it made me think of my computer programming class. I'm really struggling with it, and that class is making me crazy. Good job!

Thanks, bud
I like the way this bounces around, taking swipes left and right, conjuring absurd images and creating collages of sound. And the toadstools section made me laugh out loud! Good stuff, my friend.

You are most welcome, my friend.
This little ditty of yours is showing a lot more tricks than just your love of rhyming . . . I'm enjoying your wordplay with vowels sounds & many of your phrases are cleverly crafted: "an angler with no angle" . . . "searching for toads under stools" . . . "spill-proof hydroponics" . . . "holistic bumbling / ballistic crumbling" . . . so much to marvel at! *smile* (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks, Barley, it means a lot
The rhymer with those deep embedded loops,
gives syllabus its wingless, winless drift
I gasp to try to curb my startled "Oops!"
It's gone. To late to reclaim my word thrift.

With claims of understanding in the air.
Egg splattered all across the face of most.
The spill-proof milk of kindness is right there.
A grasp of nuance equals right to boast.

The bumbling, crumbling thoughts which scramble forth,
Preclude engaged hydrolics or the vape
Those Wild guesses thunder from the north.
Could they too be asearching for the grape.

Somewhere behind the lost and found of phrases,
we'll find the filthy high-brows (which amazes.)

To tell you the truth, I don't think I understood all of this. But I LOVED reading it. Such wonderful words tripping off the tongue. It was a cerebral treat!

I believe so, heh...
it is not easy to give up ones rational ordered sensible mind but one must when reading "Syllabus Re-Engaged" .. like much of your stuff .. the challenge is worth it as i am free ... and sense only .. the angst and sarcastic social voice .. if only how we say things..manipulate things .. can be frustrating for an honest soul ..
