Battle of Confliction

Battle of Confliction

A Chapter by Seamstress

Conflicted emotions

Struggling within

Sabers of honesty and love

Against those of deceit and jealousy

The battles been waged

My heart the battle ground

Prayers for assistance cried out

With each crucial blow

Strengthened silver steel of truth

Paired with ruby glow of unconditional love

The blackness of dry-rotted wood of deceit

Partners the moldy green monster of jealousy

Deceit rushes forth to strike

A glint of silver steel takes it down

Jealousy still strong as its partner dies

Live fighting hard to be in control

Wounded honesty carried from the battle

As deceit lays dead on the ground

Love and jealousy still fight for the win

Each still strong enough to win

A winless battle it would seem

To all those who witness the scene

Each move made for advancement

Seems to lead to another stalemate

What jealousy doesn’t know

And love keeps hidden inside

The knowledge of the troops of assistance coming

From hope, peace and joy

Hope is flowing in on rays of light,

While peace ripples through to clean the field

Joy bubbles up in roars of laughter

Along with a new glow to unconditional love

Now the four stand together

The monster of jealousy tries to grow

For just a minute in fact he does

But with patience the four overcome

Jealousy withers in their presence

Honesty limps back in to his mates

Five mates weary from battle

Stand strong in love, honesty, hope, peace and joy.

I love how your poetry has been taking a symbolic and cryptic turn of late! And that you are writing, I am very proud of you. I am sorry that such a battle even exists but glad that the "good guys" are generally winning out. *hugs tight* I know this battle well, you are not the only one who fights it.
